Post-Harvest Management
Cleaning, sorting, grading, drying, packing, and related care of produce.
Overview
Post-harvest work in the memorandum includes cleaning, washing, sorting, grading, drying, threshing, shelling, curing, ripening, chilling, testing, packing, labelling, and storage.
Food processing is a further step and is undertaken only after the registrations that apply to the product, the premises, and the capacity. This page does not describe a processing plant.
Capabilities
- Receiving and batch notes
- Sorting, grading, and drying records
- Packing and labelling fields
- Separation between post-harvest handling and licensed processing
Why it is structured this way
- Lots can be traced once they are received
- Quality notes are internal records, not public certificates
- Processing is not bundled in by default
